The Direct Care Model

At Modern Dermatology, we are pleased to provide a personal approach to our patients’ care and experience. With a direct care model, we are able to work directly for you, and not the insurance company. Third-party involvement and their ability to dictate your care has been eliminated. There are no surprise bills, no referral or authorization requirements, and full price transparency is provided. Our goal is to put you and your needs first, and give you the dedicated time you deserve.

Our services are available to everyone. Although we do not participate with any insurance plans, a “superbill” may be provided upon request to submit for out-of-network benefits. We recommend that you check with your insurance company for your individual out-of-network benefits before submitting these claims. We are unable to submit claims on your behalf. Those insured by Medicare cannot submit claims for reimbursement.

Many patients with high deductible plans find that our services are more affordable than what they would pay out of pocket to an in-network provider. You may choose to use your insurance for any bloodwork or pathology services, although we are often able to provide a lower cost to you with flat-rate direct care pricing. You may also use an HSA to pay for medical services at Modern Dermatology.
